Psalm: 86
Iconography: A bishop carrying a crozier and wearing a cope, blesses a building. He is accompanied by five men, three of whom are tonsured clerics. The scene is reminiscent of a bishop consecrating a church. The lord loves the gates of sion. The psalm has been interpreted in an ecclesiastical way, with the bishop representing Christ and Sion representing the Church.
Art: The lower finial of the initial descender has been cropped. This indicates that the entire psalter section of this book was intended to have slightly longer pages.
