Translationbecause there is none to deliver./ O god be not far from me: my god have regard for my help./ Let them be thrown into confusion and fail that plunder/ my soul: let them be covered with confusion and shame/ that seek evils to me./ But I will always hope: and will add/ to all your praise./ My mouth shall declare your justice:/ your salvation all the day./ Because I have known learning I will enter/ into the powers of the lord: lord I will be mindful of your justice only./ God you have taught me from my youth:/ and until now I will declare your wonderful works./ And unto: old age and weakness of age:/ god forsake me not./ Until I announce your arm:/ to all the generation that is to come./ Your might and your justice god even to the high/est great miracles which you have done: god who is like to you./ How great troubles and evils have you shown to me: and turning you have brought me to life:/ |
