Psalm: 118:17
Iconography: Christ leans down from heaven, chastising proud sinners with a rod. You have rebuked the proud: they are cursed who turn aside from your commandments. David holds the book inscribed with the caption, pointing to the sinners. The sinners have long hair, a worldly excess (see Psalm 42).
Art: The hair of the lower sinner was drawn as straggling hanks but has been painted as a neat block.
