Psalm: 93
Iconography: The psalmist on the left points to Christ above. Christ wears a mitre, representing the heavenly abbot, and places a stole around the neck of a tonsured cleric below. Blessed is the man whom you shall instruct lord: and you shall teach from your law. This illustration has been modified from the text in order to apply to a monastic context. The abbot stands for Christ in the monastery and the priest is being ordained so that he can teach God's law.
