Psalm: 33
Iconography: Christ sits above, with his hand raised in blessing, and holding a book. The psalmist below points to the text which exhorts continual blessing and praise. I will bless the lord at all times: his praise always in my mouth.
Art: Dodwell (AP, 199) considered this to be Artist 2. Close comparisons can be made with the head of Christ by Artist 2 (p131) and Artist 1 (p139). Artist 2 applies carefully modulated shading to the face and his features are more carefully outlined. Artist 1 (on this page) leaves the face almost unmodelled with greenish shading. Gilding untidy and blue background thin, compared to Artist 2 in quire 7. Interlace on stem of letter incomplete.
