TranslationFor behold the kings were gathered together:/ they assembled in one./ They seeing it so were in admiration were troubled/ were moved: trembling took them./ Their sorrows as a woman in labour: in a powerful spirit/ you shall break the ships of Tharsis./ As we have heard so have we seen in the city of the lord/ of hosts: in the city of our god god founded/ it for ever./ We have received your mercy god: in the midst of your temple./ According to your name god so also is your praise unto the ends of the earth:/ your right hand is full of justice./ Let mount sion be glad and the daughters of iuda rejoice: because of your judgements lord./ Surround sion and embrace her:/ tell in her towers./ Set your hearts on her strength:/ and distribute her houses:/ that you may declare it in an other generation./ Because this is god our god for ever and for ever and ever:/ he shall rule us evermore./ |
