you have tripped up under me those who rose up against me./ And you have given to me the backs of my enemies:/ and those that hate me you have destroyed./ They cried but there was not one who would save them: to the lord/ neither did he hear them./ And I will break them up as powder before the face of the wind:/ as the dust of the streets I shall destroy them./ You will deliver me from the objections of the people:/ you will appoint me head of the nations./ A people who I did not know had served me:/ in the hearing of an ear they have obeyed me./ The children that are strangers have lied to me:/ strange children have grown obsolete:/ and they have wavered from their paths./ The Lord lives and blessed be my god:/ and the god of my salvation be exalted./ God who gave revenge to me and subdued the people/ under me: my deliverer from resentful/ enemies./ And you will lift me up from them that rise up against me:/ from the unjust man you will deliver me./ Therefore will I acknowledge you among nations lord:/
