Psalm: 25
Iconography: An acolyte pours water so that the priest can wash his hands at the Offertory, during the celebration of Mass. I will wash my hands among innocents These are the exact words which a priest utters during the Mass. Below, a group of small tonsured figures, standing upright, gather before the altar on which there is a golden chalice. I will surround your altar lord My foot has stood in upright ways: in the assembly will bless you lord. The small tonsured group may represent innocent children or simply monks.
